HANA Administration_11th July 2024

In session 1, we have covered the basics of Linux commands, HANA architecture, SystemDB and TenantDB, SQL ports in HANA, and the HANA stop and start process. This session will provide a solid foundation for understanding the fundamentals of HANA and its operating system, as well as essential commands and processes for managing the HANA database. By the end of this session, participants will have a clear understanding of how to navigate the HANA environment, execute commands, and ensure the proper functioning of their HANA system. This knowledge will be crucial for anyone working with HANA databases and will pave the way for further advanced learning in subsequent sessions.

In session 2, We have covered Details of services in HANA Database, License Administration and Applying license in HANA Database through HANA Studio, HANA Cockpit and Using HANA interactive terminal. In the final part of the session we have deep-dived into GAL and it's calculation in scaleup and scale-out scenario.

In session 3, We have covered Details HANA Memory Management, HANA File System Layout and details of HANA Data volume and HANA Log volume. We have also discussed Save point , Persistence in depth. Live demonstration included in this session.
